
Apostle Melessa A. Brown
Apostle Melessa A. Brown, Professor of Gospel Music, Worship Leader, Musician and Teacher has traveled extensively in the United States, to Jamaica, the Netherlands of Holland, and the Bahamas, as well as, South African, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, England, St. Thomas, Hawaii, Malaysia, Singapore, and Trinidad.
Apostle Brown has lived in the Asian countries of Pakistan and India; visited the Afghani Refugees Camp, in Peshawar (along the Khyber Pass); ministered at the International Embassy School; worked with all denominational missionaries, and ministered from the (south) Sind area to the (north) China Mountains.
She has ministered on program with renown such as: (Singer-Musician) the Late Danniebelle Hall, (Televangelist) Pat Robertson, Arch Bishop Veron Ashe, Bishop Tudor Bismark, Bishop Harold Ray, Bishop T.D. Jakes, and Dr. N. Cindy Trimm. Melessa has also traveled as Psalmist/Minstrel with internationally known Author/Minister/Teacher/Singer Dr. Juanita Bynum.
She is a very prolific songwriter, as well as, a sought after worship leader. Her many songs have received both national and international reviews. A few to mention are “Rain On My Field” (which has gained international acclaim), “The Search Is Over”, “Purify Me”, “Steadfast Love”, and “Into Each Life”.
Apostle Brown graduated Cum Laude, with honors from Kentucky State University, having majored in PIANO and minored in VOICE, and since then has taught individual piano (classical, traditional and contemporary), voice techniques, and choral instruction. She has been producer, arranger, and engineer on a number of traditional and contemporary recording projects.
Apostle Brown is now in the process of developing a music school, called “The Chenaniah School of Worship”, dedicated to teaching and mentoring worship leaders, singers and musicians in their perspective areas of responsibility -as well as- teaching and educating pastors (the church’s initial visionary) in the area of worship.
The Lord has issued a mandate to Apostle Brown, which includes, “Taking prophetic worship to the nations!
